   implemented a practice to increase ROI on short-term cash.
*Implemented a descriptive chart of accounts system to ensure more accurate coding and 
   budgeting of income and expenses.
*Created a policy handbook to guide decision making.
*Produced monthly financial statements and ensured proper segregation of accounting duties
   and financial controls.
*Worked with president to prepare agendas, minutes of meetings and committee charges.
*Served as staff liaison to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

*Produced monthly magazine: responsible for all aspects of production including 
   advertising sales, layout, design, editing, photography, contract negotiation and financial 
   management.
*Led the association through a comprehensive restructuring of all communications 
   programs, resulting in an average annual increase in net income of 104%.
*Created an internship program.
*Responsible for website and newsletter production, news releases, and representing GCA and 
   GBB at local, state and national industry meetings.
*Initiated two monthly broadcast e-mail newsletters, an annual calendar and an annual 
   convention-attendee book.
*Planned and implemented a Beef Month media program, including radio and 
   television interviews, radio station listener luncheons, on-air promotions, statewide advertising 
   and a specially created Beef Month website, resulting in an increase in net impressions of 
   more than 124% above the previous year.
